EMERGE Launches Free Startup Education Programme

Successful pitching is a skill urgently needed for startups at all times. However, lockdowns, quarantine and the remote work unveil new challenges for the startup founders. Such important questions arise from day to day: how to be convincing when there is no eye contact during the business conversation? How to meet the booked time if Wi-Fi accidentally fails? Finally, what to do if during the serious conversation with an investor your cat just starts screaming or your family member enters the room … in his underpants? In order to help the startup founders in such challenging times, the team of Emerge launches a free boot camp Emerge U together with Orange Fab.

Emerge U is a week-long intensive bootcamp, which has the purpose to share with startups knowledge and develop negotiating skills while searching for and establishing new and long-lasting contacts with investors and partners.

The bootcamp programme includes the number of webinars and expert sessions on a wide range of issues. The topics to be covered:
— How to approach and build relations with investors
— Working with corporate partners
— Financial projections and cash flow in times of crisis
— Online networking etiquette
— Perfect Follow-Ups and how not to lose the connections
— Getting maximum from Emerge or any other online tech conference

The bootcamp speakers are the experts of companies that have successfully built strong online communications with startups: Rockstart accelerator (Holland), AXIS Innovation accelerator (Israel), Orange Fab, Runa Capital, bValue, etc.

Emerge U will take place on May 4-10. At the end of the bootcamp, the Emerge team will select one startup that will speak to 300+ investors from around the world during the closed Venture Night stream. The applications for the Emerge U bootcamp will be accepted until 3 May.

Emerge is an international tech conference that takes place in Minsk every year. Last year, it gathered 2100+ participants from 43 countries. This year Emerge will take place online on 1-3 June. The Startup Alley exhibition and the Emerge Challenge startup competition (in partnership with the telecom operator MegaFon and Flint Capital) with a cash prize € 10,000 will also be happening online. The applications for Emerge Challenge will be accepted until 16  May. The following VCs have already confirmed their participation at Emerge 2020: Hoxton Ventures, APX Axel Springer Porsche, Elysium Venture Capital, Runa Capital, Rockstart, 70 Ventures, TA Ventures, Bulba Ventures, Haxus and others. The Angels Band business angel network has also confirmed their participation as a partner of the event.
