Emerging Startup World: Minsk

EMERGE is inviting pre-seed startups to apply to the Startups Fast Track. Applications are open through February 14.

EMERGE is a global tech conference that is held annually in Minsk (Belarus) in English. This is the only event that forms a new look at the New East region (includes countries from Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Central Asia) as an emerging technology hub. This year on June 1–2 it will bring together 3,500+ attendees from 40+ countries all over the world.

Last year, the event gathered 2100+ people from 43 countries. Among them: 34% — founders of startups and CEO, 28% — technical specialists, and, probably because the conference has 2 female founders, 43% of the attendees were women in tech.

For startups, EMERGE is a great opportunity to show the product on the exhibit stand at Startup Alley, to find customers, new team members, investors (there will be 100+ this year), give interviews to the foreign media reporters, and win €10,000 and other valuable prizes from venture funds and international accelerators during the pitch contest EMERGE CHALLENGE. This year EMERGE launches Startups Fast Track. By applying an application before February 14, pre-seed startups have a chance to win free Startup Pass. It gets three free tickets for team members, exhibit at Startup Alley, a chance to win €10,000 in EMERGE CHALLENGE, and be featured in our Investors Update — biweekly newsletter for EMERGE investors (the base includes more than 300+ venture funds and accelerators). 10 winners will be selected and will get free Startup Passes on February 28.

Although the future of mankind and issues for startups are the cutting edge themes, the EMERGE is a the conference-festival. It has a unique atmosphere and there are many micro-formats for informal networking inside (from Tech running club in the morning to Startup f * ckup night in the evening).
