Asian restaurant yield management platform Big Dish Ventures has named experienced technology executive Henry Joseph-Grant as its Chief Operating Officer to spearhead the firm’s global expansion.

FoodTech has been one of the hottest sectors in the startup space for several years, but most of the attention and funding has so far been going into the delivery of food. However, startups are increasingly attacking all the tiers of the traditional food pyramid.

BigDish
brings dynamic pricing to the restaurant business, enabling restaurants to increase traffic primarily during off-peak periods.  The company operates in Manila, Philippines, Hong Kong and Jakarta.Sources in the finance industry told CoFounder the firm was planning to launch the initial public offering in February. Joseph-Grant declined to comment.

Joseph-Grant was an early member of the team that built JUST EAT plc from a startup into a $2.44 billion IPO, and later held senior operational roles at Gett and founded the European arm of Abraaj Capital-owned The Entertainer.
